"...his mastery of various styles of guitar playing is very impressive.  Great guy and guitarist" -N.R.

Austin is quickly gaining a reputation as a prominent local musician and educator. He studied under Glenn Lyons at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, eventually earning his Master's degree in Guitar Performance.

As a teacher, Austin has helped dozens of aspiring guitarists over the past decade. Many of his students have become fine musicians in their own right and some have gone on to study at the university level. Aside from honing their skills on their instrument, Austin's students benefit from building a solid foundation in music theory.

Austin spent years in and around Philadelphia before relocating to the Washington, D.C. metro area. This includes time spent writing, recording, and performing with a former American Idol contestant.

He has also been active in Catholic liturgical music, directing choirs and composing new song settings.

Austin currently lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife and cat. He is on the guitar faculty at the International School of Music in Bethesda, MD and performs with The Razors, a top local cover band.

"Greatest guitar teacher I ever had. Had me perform in front of a live audience within the first year." -N.F.
